The Bandar Lagiqq region is located in the middle of Afghanistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The area is very mountainous and is home to the Hargobind Sagar Lake, an oasis and source of the national highway from Kabul to Chitral and the historic city of Chitral.

The local festivals in the region include Hariri Shaban, which are a family festival, and Barin. The festival is held on October 16th every year. The river Gharba flows through the valleys of the Karakoram, Takotkhel, and Herat, which are part of the Tajik-Afghanistan national highway.

You will also be able to travel between Chitral and the Maldives with the use of a boat from Lagiqq. The river passes right over the Strait of Bab-el-Mandeb. You can travel through the two countries easily and it is possible to make your way through to Pakistan.
